but the shower was a bit cramped. The staff was really friendly and helpful! The location was perfect for the Christmas market and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. We had a spacious room, too.

Silent room, we had double room, with a safe box, central heating, and an electronic key card.

Location really close to the train station which has great connections to Dusseldorf and a central square in the very modern Essen. Functional king room with tea, very good acoustic isolation plus front view.
No breakfast.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the pedestrian zone on Kennedyplatz. The room was spacious and stylish with large windows offering great views. Breakfast was delicious with a well-curated selection catering to both vegetarians and those who enjoy a hearty start to the day.

This is a brilliant hotel! The service is impeccable, the rooms big, clean and new, the decor beautiful and the bathroom roomy. The only downside is that there is no fridge in the room. Breakfast was basic but delicious =) I had forgotten my engagement and wedding rings in the room, and they promptly found them and send them back to my home address =) AWESOME!

Fabulous location! Very kind staff, excellent breakfast, nice look, all new and modern. If ever I need to stay in Essen again, no doubt I'll stay here again!
No high chairs for children.

The hotel is centrally located at Kennedyplatz.
I was quite disappointed with the breakfast options, especially for nearly 17€. The offerings were limited to a continental selection, lacking warm dishes aside from some hard-boiled eggs. The bathroom was compact for the room size, and steam buildup was an issue during showers. I also found it frustrating that no one was at the reception during my early morning checkout.

Location! Location! Location! Price is great. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice lounge. I'd stay there again if I was in Essen.
Typical Motel One -- not enough space to hang clothes in the room. Breakfast room was very crowded on a Sunday morning. Had room above Lounge, a tad loud

On our last night in Essen we asked at reception if there was a computer we could use in order to print off our boarding passes for the following morning. The girl on reception told us that unfortunately there wasn't a computer available. She then logged on to our airline website and printed our boarding passes for us. When we asked about the possibility of getting a train the next morning to go back to Dusseldorf airport, she then went online and looked up and printed off the train timetable for us. We were both extremely impressed with her friendliness and the fact that she completely went out of her way to help us. Neither of us had seen a computer in the lobby of the hotel and so had resigned ourselves to having to go to the airport earlier the next morning to check-in - we were completely surprised that the girl did all the work for us!!!!!
Neither of us would have any complaints to make about the hotel except maybe that there is no restaurant. The hotel isn't open all that long so perhaps that may be the reason why a restaurant hasn't opened yet. However it didn't make any difference to us as there are a lot of places to eat in the area.

It. The unique open shower design was not only stylish but added a fun twist to my stay. Plus, the soundproofing was excellent, meaning I could relax without disturbances despite being centrally located.

The room was comfy with a luxurious rain shower and fluffy towels. The staff was genuinely cute, and the breakfast offered a decent variety that included rolls, cheeses, and pastries, a great way to start the day! The parking facility nearby was convenient.
